Jovovich-Hawk for Target: Dot and Floral Dress Reviews + J.Crew Belt

I'm wearing a Small here - which looks like a tent not belted, but I would only wear it belted.  I guess I'm holding my arms out funny to show the pretty sleeves.  This was the dress I saw in the Target previews that I HAD to have!

It does dip down in the back a little, which helps with the length issue.  I have it on here with the J.Crew leather studded belt I scored at the store for only $9.99!  Love it!

At first I wasn't so sure about this one (I was thinking - Minnie Mouse!?), but once I put it on and saw pictures, I decided it was a keeper!  I wore this out to dinner and drinks last weekend and got a ton of compliments from people thinking it was designer.... which I guess it *kinda* is :)

As far as the lengths go, most all the re-released dresses I tried on were short - like, short enough the wear as a tunic for most people.  I will probably wear jeggings with most of them, but for going out at night, the length worked.

Tucker for Target Dress Review Part II

I ended up getting 2 of the Tucker for Target dresses, and this is the second one.  This dress, like the first one, is 100% polyester.  I'm wearing an XS in this particular dress.  If you are contemplating ordering online, definitely look for reviews on sizing first, because the XS in the other Tucker dress was super tight - so the sizing isn't exactly consistent.

Here I have on with leggings.

Can also be worn without leggings in the hot summer - but again, like with all the other dresses, it's gonna be short!

I don't always like the 'self-tie' belt deals, but this one works.  There is elastic at the sleeves so you can scrunch them up if you want.

More to come...

Target Re-Releases GO International Designers: Tucker for Target

It's no secret that a lot of us have been waiting for the re-release of many of these great dresses!  Target has been doing designer collaborations for 5 years and this was a sort-of 'celebration' of that, I guess!

I ordered a few things online, but then went up to Target to actually try some on!  This is just the first one I tried on at home and took pics of ..... more pics, reviews, quality, and fitting to come later!

I'm wearing a size small in this.  The length is pretty short and might work as a dress on some ladies.  I think I'll stick with using this one as a tunic.  The button detail is so cute and the elastic waist is very flattering!

It flows just enough to look nice, without the prego belly effect!

Check back for more later!

OOTD: Ann Taylor + J.Crew Paisley Perfect Shirt

Still loving my Paisley Perfect Shirt (cotton/silk) from a couple of years ago. Here, I have it layered with a black boyfriend cardigan from Ann Taylor, also from 2009 I believe. I initially thought the paisley contained navy, but it's actually black.... though, IMO, you could pair it with either one! Skinny jeans are Paige Premium Denim Verdugo Jegging - LOVE Paige Denim! Thanks for stopping by!

*Don't forget to sign up with SoleSociety.com, a shoe spin-off from parent company Hautelook, which is also A-MA-Zing!! Sole Society offers a new 'virtual closet' of shoes to choose from each month! A New Pair of Shoes Each Month! + Promo Coupon Code

**UPDATE:  USE CODE: SS10 TO GET $10 OFF YOUR FIRST PURCHASE!**

Check it out...

Has anyone tried the SoleSociety website yet?  It sounds really cool!  From what I'm reading, you take a little style quiz, and then each month the site recommends certain designer shoes to you - and then you can buy them for only $50/ pair!!  Click the link above or the logo below to take your quiz and create a fashion/shoe profile!

If anyone out there has tried this already, please comment and let us know what you think!  I can't wait to see how this works!

**Update:  I received an email this morning saying my "closet" was ready!  And the shoes up for grabs were definitely cute and spot-on my style!  Apparently, your "membership" doesn't actually start until you make your first purchase.  After that, you need to either purchase a pair of shoes or "skip" that month.  There is no obligation to buy each month.  Shipping is free and items are returnable!**

J.Crew - Recent Keepers (sale)

Buffalo Check Boy Shirt - Size 2 in Black
Double Serge Pencil Skirt - Size 2 in Pearl Gray

Buffalo Check shirt with Lolli Pants

Cotton Stripe Tank - Size Small
I don't see this online right now, but I bought it in-store for $19.  This will be a nice throw-on-and-go top for the hot summer!

Striped Button-Back Tee - Size XS in Neon Pink
Love the button detail on this shirt.  I really want all 4 colors, but I went with the pink stripe since I have sooo many of all the other stripe colors!

Stripe Drawstring Dress - Size XS in Navy
This dress was less-than-impressive online, and on the rack in the store.  However, once I put it on I fell in love!  And for $29 - hell yeah!  You really need to give this one a try if you haven't already!

Pockets!  Woo hoo!  And it drapes really nicely!

IMO, all these items run about normal for JC.  The striped shirt is a bit boxy, but that's the look!  I'm so excited to start wearing these styles if it will EVER get warm!  :)  Thanks for stopping by!

J.Crew Recent Returns - In-Store only?

I have purchased and returned a lot recently, so I'm beginning with the losers first....

White Cotton Button-Down Shirt/Blouse  (I cannot find this online)
This also comes in a grayish/purple color in store, as well.  It's pretty see-through and runs a bit small.  This is a size Small.  I ended up returning it because it was gaping a little at the bust, and I have a linen shirt I bought last year that looks almost the same as this one.

The one thing I did love about the shirt is that it's stretchy and fits nicely under sweaters, etc... without riding up.  But, again, I just don't think I'd get that much use out of it.  Additionally, I had a bad feeling about those pesky little holes popping up - don't know why exactly, just something about the fabric seemed delicate.

Vintage V-Neck Tee (don't see this online, either)
I thought I loved this at first - I love the solid colored vintage tees - but this is thicker and more stiff... I also had to size up to a Small to like the fit of it.  In fact, now that I am writing this, I wonder if it really even is a vintage v-neck tee, or was it just on the same round table as all the other vintage v-necks?  Anyway, I'm all striped-out unless it's a show-stopper, so this went back, too!

Next post - the keepers! :)
